2014/2017/2024 T6/T651 High Hardness Aluminum Alloy Bar Aluminum Bar
2024 aluminum bar, aluminum rod is a typical hard aluminum alloy in the aluminum-copper-magnesium series. Its composition is reasonable and its comprehensive performance is good. This alloy is produced in many countries and is the largest amount of hard aluminum.
The alloy can be used as working parts below 150 ° C. The strength of 2024 alloy is higher than that of 7075 alloy. The forming performance is better in the hot state, annealing and new quenching states, and the heat treatment strengthening effect is significant, but the heat treatment process is strict. Poor corrosion resistance, but covered with pure aluminum can be effectively protected; cracks are easy to occur during welding, but special processes can be used for welding and riveting.
2024 aluminum bar,aluminum rod is a high-strength hard aluminum, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has moderate plasticity in the quenched and freshly quenched state. It has good spot welding and has the tendency to form intergranular cracks when gas welding. The cutting performance is good, and the machinability after annealing is low: the corrosion resistance is not high. Anodizing treatment and painting methods are often used or the surface is coated with an aluminum layer to improve its corrosion resistance.
2024 is mainly used to make various high-load parts and components (but not including stamping parts and forgings) such as skeleton parts, skins, bulkheads, ribs, spar, rivets and other working parts below 150 ºC on aircraft.
