AWS A5.9/ASME SFA 5.9 is the specification for welding consumables like wire, electrodes and rods for arc welding of stainless and heat-resisting steels. Duplex class ER2209 gives the balance of Austenite and Ferrite microstructure in the as-welded condition, it contains 22% Cr and 8% Ni so as to offers high strength, excellent ductility and corrosion resistance, is the MIG, TIG welding material of duplex stainless steels 2205(SS31803 and SS32205). It has been widely used for pipe and plate welding in the field of offshore, oil and gas, chemical process and other industries where need corrosion resistance and high temperature.
